January 2010

Hi, Since my last post Drumclub have been up to many exciting things.

We drummed on a radio commercial in Ireland, played Reading Football Stadium twice to 26,00 people and were filmed, and are currently appearing, on the T-mobile advert on national television and radio.

Drumclub are now rehearsing some new material which we are looking forward to unveiling at various summer festivals later in the year.

I hope to see you at some of our shows.

January 2006

Hi everyone,

Our great 2005 was going to be hard year to follow after Drum Club appeared on television as part of July's Live8 concert but, I think we might have
topped it as...

On Monday April 17th Drum Club will appear at Reading's Madjeski Stadium to play in front of 20,000 people.

The stadium, which hosted Elton John last May, is of course home to Reading Football Club and it is at half time at the match on April 17th that we will be playing.

Reading are currently top of the league and if all goes well, for us as well as The Royals, we hope to be entertaining the likes of Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and Thierry Henry next year as well as half of Reading.

Tickets are available from Reading F.C.'s website and I hope to see some of you there.

Tony.

July 2005

As Seen on TV

Hi, its July 2005 and many exciting things are happening and have happened to Drumclub since my last post.

Firstly, we've had our first outing into the world of mass media when we appeared on ITV as part of The MAKE POVERTY HISTORY campaign. Playing in Watlington on July 1st the TV cameras turned up and filmed Drumclub playing various African pieces which appeared on the evening news later that day.

Drum Club have a pretty busy second half of July lined up, playing three gigs:

  1. The first is supporting the band The Light Years in a Live8 style concert at Langtree School, Woodcote on July 18th at 8pm
  2. Then we play a wedding on the afternoon of Saturday 23rd playing a specially composed piece for the bride and groom.
  3. Finally on Sunday 24th we play at the Tsunami relief concert on the banks of The River Thames in Henley.

Directions for all three concerts can be found below, and I hope to see you at one or more of the shows.

Tony.
